About Uurú
When a team of Ecuadorian agricultural engineers approached us in 2011 and told us the story of Uurú, we didn’t believe our ears.
They told us of a hike through the Guayas Province and the discovery of a very special plant – the original banana. To see this sensation for ourselves, we travelled to Ecuador.
As part of a close partnership, we wanted to make this world first marketable and introduce it to Germany while maintaining an uncompromisingly organic and sustainable approach.
Fair pay, a comfortable infrastructure and unquestioning team spirit form the basis of the common aim – to grow the best and most original bananas in the world!
Only bananas that pass the strict quality tests performed by our trained staff are prepared for shipping.
